With the new restrictions in place it appears to me that Provincial and Civic Governments are recognizing the importance of mental health as it pertains to outdoor activities and are making every effort to keep outdoor parks, skating rinks and dog parks available to the public. As someone who works away most of the summer I utilize the flying field more in the winter than most members. Typically there is less than 6 people there and often I am alone.
For the very few days that would typically have more than 6 people out at the field in winter months is it necessary to close the field entirely?
Is there any opportunity to modify the Covid 19 restrictions that were in place previous to ensure compliance?
When looking at our particular situation could we include the perspective that we are more like individual outdoor recreation rather than an outdoor social gathering?
Assuming we would be policed by local civic authorities, is it worth an inquiry to Red Deer County to see how they would view it? ( I would gladly volunteer to do this)
I in no way want to jeopardize the Club's or any members safety or privilege however without indoor flying or the CARFF field available, I can see a long winter ahead.
