CARFF Flying Field

The Field is located just southeast of Red Deer.
Field GPS Coordinates:
N52o 12' 6”, W113o 42' 18” (N52o 12.106', W113o 42.304')

 

If you are coming from Red Deer - East on McKenzie Rd 7.5 Km or 4.5 Mi.

 

From South side of Red Deer - Travel East on the Delburne Highway (595) 3.2 km (2 mi) past 30th Ave to Range Road 270. Turn South and travel 3.2 km (2mi) until you reach Twp Rd. 374 (McKenzie Rd). Turn East and travel another 1 km and the field is on the North side of the road.

 

If you are coming from the East - Turn West on the Delburne Highway (595) - You can turn South (left) at Range Road 265 (SPRINGVALE HEIGHTS) and travel 3.2 km (2mi) until you reach Twp Rd. 374 (McKenzie Rd). Turn West and travel another 1 km and the field is on the North side of the road.

 

 

Club Meetings are held on the FIRST Wednesday of Each Month.  In the Summer months Meetings are held at the Clubhouse at the CARFF Flying Field. During the Winter they are held at the Red Deer Regional Airport at the RED DEER FLYING CLUB.

Requirements

ALL Pilots must be in possession of a valid MAAC and CARFF Memberships, have written and passed the Transport Canada RPAS exam, have registered the airplane they are flying, Guests are welcome but must be accompanied by a club member, or with other permission from an Executive member and may be required to do a PPC with an instructor. Everyone must follow the Club Safety Rules, Transport Canada Regulations, and adhere to the recent MSD's published by MAAC. Pilots deemed Unsafe in their flying practices, will be grounded.  Pilots without a valid Wings will be required to fly with an instructor or an instructor helper.
